Programs for Children, Youth, and Young Adults
Learning the science-based STORY OF 14 BILLION YEARS of cosmic, planetary, life, and human evolution in fun and meaningful ways can be transformative for kids. At SWUUSI this year all children and youth will be integrating a science-based understanding of the world and the cosmos with the Unitarian Universalist spiritual and philosophical world view.

The programming for this group will depend much on the number of babies and the number of toddlers. Activities will include story time, playground time , science exploration (age appropriate), art, cooking (age appropriate), and pool time (we will need parents to help).
Kindergarten - 3rd Grade
Natalie Wolc
Natalie and Amanda are back! This age group had so much fun last summer and this year will be just as great. These kids will explore evolution and the universe through art, cooking, science, great stories, field trips to the nature center and through the surrounding nature, and building their own community.
4th - 8th Grade
Ryan Hoffland
I know, I know, Harry Potter was fun enough to repeat… and we will bring it back in 2009. This year we can’t pass up the awesome opportunity to work with Connie Barlow and Michael Dowd and their exciting work. These young people will create an amazing bonded community as well as enjoy many activities such as cooking, art, science exploration, and hikes.
9th - 12th Grade and Just-Graduated Seniors
Mark Anderson and Alison Conger
Youth will be able to participate on an adult level as well as cut loose and have fun as teenagers. They will join us for the keynote speeches then spend time together in the afternoons and some evenings. There may be at least one overnight.
The week will culminate with a Stardust Ritual none of us will ever forget.
