If “The Way to Peace is Through Us”, then we want to open our hearts, support our friends, and strengthen our spirits. Join UU family and friends from the Southwestern Conference at Oklahoma’s Sequoyah State Park Aug. 2-7 for rest, renewal, and inspiration for peacemaking.
Our UU heritage and ways of understanding life point toward acceptance of difference and cooperation; the interdependent web is a sacred image. Staying true to our beliefs and hopes can seem lonely and useless.
Peacemaking resolve moves us to speak from empathy, solve common problems, and reconcile differences. We can notice collaboration with gratitude and challenge unfairness kindly.
We set aside this week of camp to allow the warmth of religious fellowship to soothe and settle our spirits, strengthening us for a more peaceful approach to daily life.
